First, we must have a design. This may come to you in the form of a sketch on a napkin, so be prepared to do some deciphering. (Some of our best ideas are a result of the discussion around the lunch table.) The napkin in Figure 1 will be the sketch that we will base our design on. As we look at this sketch, we see the overall dimensions; bottom shelf height; a need for casters; shelves indicated (including one that is removable); and an overall load requirement.
